Duggi, también conocido como el Monturrio, es un barrio de Santa Cruz de Tenerife, perteneciente al distrito Centro-Ifara. Está limitado por el Barranco Santos, Avenida de Asuncionistas, Rambla de Pulido y Calle de Galcerán. Tiene una extensión de 17,45 km² y una población de 4.634 habitantes aproximadamente.

Tiene como origen la iniciativa de Luis Duggi, dueño de los terrenos donde se asienta el barrio, en 1874 para urbanizar sus terrenos. Luis Duggi se enriqueció con el comercio de esclavos africanos destinados a Cuba. De origen italiano, de Livorno, se asienta en la isla en el siglo XVIII, pues esta era usada como centro de almacenamiento, agrupación y reexportación de esclavos. Fue un barrio eminentemente obrero en su origen y poblado con casas terreras. En los años 30 se construye el conjunto formado por la plaza de Duggi y el Colegio San Fernando, auténtico centro neurálgico del barrio. En el mes de mayo de 2008 se desarrollan diversos actos con motivo del 75 aniversario del colegio.[1]

Actualmente su actividad es eminentemente comercial, basada en los comercios de sus arterias principales, Rambla de Pulido y calle Ramón y Cajal.
