Benthamia es un género de orquídeas perteneciente a la subfamilia Orchidoideae. Tiene 75 especies. Es originario del este de África y el oeste del Océano Índico en Zimbabue, Madagascar, Mauricio y Reunión.[1]

El nombre del género fue otorgado en honor de George Bentham, botánico, pteridólogo y micólogo inglés.
