Iris Shun-Ru Chang (chino tradicional: 張純如, chino simplificado: 张纯如, pinyin: Zhāng Chúnrú; (* 28 de marzo de 1968, Princeton, Nueva Jersey - † 9 de noviembre de 2004, San José, California) fue una escritora y periodista estadounidense que conoció notoriedad por su novela documental sobre la Masacre de Nankín titulada La violación de Nankin.[1] Ha sido objeto del libro Finding Iris Chang,[2] as well as the 2007 documentary film Iris Chang: The Rape of Nanking.[3]

Biografia

Hija de dos profesores universitarios emigrados de China creció en Champaign (Illinois). Después de graduarse escribió para el New York Times y el Chicago Tribune. Se casó con Bretton Lee Douglas, con quien tuvo su hijo Christopher. Vivió en San Jose, California donde presa de depresión se suicidó.[4]
