Roxana Saberi (رکسانا صابری en Persa; ロクサナ・サベリ en Japonés) nacida el 26 de abríl de 1977 en Belleville (Dakota del Norte), EE.UU. es una periodista estadounidense quien fue arrestada en Irán en el febrero del 2009 por obrar como una periodista sin credenciales cuyos fueron revocados en el 2006.

Se crió en Bellevue y Fargo (Dakota del Norte) y asisitió la universidad de Concondia en Minnesota. Tuve más estudios en la Universidad Northwestern y en Cambridge. Fue una reina de belleza siendo la Miss Dakota del Norte hasta avansando a las 10 mejores del Ms. America ése año. Su padre Reza Saberi es de origen persa y su madre Akiko Saberi es de origen Niponés.

El 8 de abríl del 2009 el gobierno persa la condenó a encarcelamiento por 10 años por el crimen de espionaje, después de quejas por varios gobiernos particularmente los Estados Unidos asicomo su supuesto prometido el premiado filmador persa-kurdo Bahman Ghobadi, la ganadora del premio nobel de la paz iranesa Shirin Ebadhi, una huelga de hambre por Sabero por dos semanas, y un tribunal donde se estableció que ella no podia ser condenada por el supuesto crimen de espionaje por que Irán no estaba en guerra con los EE.UU. fue reducida su senencia a una en donde solo iria a la prisión si cometiese un crimen en la república eslámica durante los siguientes 5 años.
