Recanati es una población de 19.989 habitantes en la provincia de Macerata, (Italia).

Recanati es conocida en todo el mundo por ser la ciudad natal del célebre poeta italiano Giacomo Leopardi y sede del Centro Mundial de la Poesía. En Recanati sigue viviendo la familia Leopardi, y algunas de sus calles y plazas llevan el nombre de los poemas más famosos de su ciudadano más universal. Otros ilustres hijo de Recanati son el cantante lírico Beniamino Gigli, y el campeón motociclista Franco Uncini, que fue campeón del mundo de motociclismo en la categoría de 500 cc en 1982, con una moto Suzuki.
