Protogenoi

En la mitología griega el nombre Protogenoi (pl.; gr. Πρωτογενοι, sing. Protogenos) significa "Nacidos en primer lugar" o "Primitivos" y son un grupo de deidades que nacieron en los comienzos de nuestro universo.

Los Protogenoi son las primeras entidades o seres que existieron. Se formaron de la misma materia que el universo y son por tanto inmortales. Los Prôtogenoi son un grupo de dioses del que descienden todos los demás dioses. Aunque normalmente se creía que eran los primeros dioses producidos a partir del Caos, algunas fuentes mencionan a un par de deidades que fueron padres de estos Prôtogenoi. Estas deidades representan a varios elementos de la naturaleza.
