Perth Amboy es una ciudad en Nueva Jersey en los Estados Unidos de América. Tiene una población de 47.300 habitantes. La ciudad fue fundada en 1683 y era la capital del territorio británico de Jersey del Este. Cuando Nueva Jersey fue unida en una colonia real en 1702, Perth Amboy servía como la capital de la colonia (y más tarde, el estado) hasta 1790 en que la capital fue cambiado a Trenton.

Hoy, la economía de Perth Amboy se basa en industria. La ciudad es el hogar de una comunidad inmigrante grande y más que una mitad de la población (69,8%) es de origen hispánico.

Es la ciudad natal de Jon Bon Jovi.
