Standing Stone es el segundo trabajo de música clásica de Paul McCartney, publicado en 1997. El estreno mundial tuvo lugar en el Royal Albert Hall el 14 de octubre de 1997.

Siguiendo la huella de Liverpool Oratorio, el proyecto Standing Stone se compone de un largo poema de McCartney, interpretado por la Orquesta Sinfónica de Londres y conducido por Lawrence Foster en Abbey Road Studios de EMI. A diferencia de su anterior proyecto clásico, Standing Stone no supone la interpretación de una ópera, si no una pieza instrumental, aún a pesar del empleo de coros.

La portada del álbum es una fotografía tomada por Linda McCartney a finales de 1969, la cual ya podía encontrarse en el interior del álbum McCartney. Standing Stone supone el último proyecto de Paul McCartney junto a su esposa antes de que ella muriera de cáncer el 17 de abril de 1998.

Editado en septiembre de 1997, Standing Stone alcanzó el puesto #1 en las listas de éxitos de música clásica, mientras en Estados Unidos entró en el puesto #194 de las listas de álbumes convencionales.
