Paul Kirchhoff

Filósofo alemán nacido en la ciudad de Horste en 1900 y murió en 1972 en la Ciudad de México.

Estudió en la Universidad de Berlín y se especializó en la rama de etnología mexicana.

Cofundador de la Escuela Nacional de Antropología e Historia en el año de 1938. Investigador de la Universidad Nacional Autónoma de México.

Definió el concepto de Mesoamérica para el estudio y clasificación de la etnografía de la región mexicana y centro americana. Realizó importantes investigaciones sobre las culturas de México.
