Outing

Outing (AFI: [aʊtɪŋ]) es un término de origen anglosajón, que normalmente significa excursión. A finales del siglo XX, el término adquirió un nuevo significado a nivel mundial: sacar a alguien del armario - hacer pública la homosexualidad de otra persona.

El término suele hacer referencia a hacer pública la homosexualidad de alguien sin su consentimiento. También hace referencia a cuando se hace pública la opción sexual para apoyar los derechos de homosexuales, denunciando la hipocresía.

Puede usarse también al hacer públicas otras características de las personas, que prefieren mantenerlas en secreto, como la opción política o religiosa.
