Next Limit Technologies

Next Limit Technologies es una compañía de software con base en Madrid, España. Fundada en 1998 por los ingenieros Víctor González y Ignacio Vargas,[1] la compañía crea un software multiplataforma de simulación de partículas y un software de simulación de iluminación.

Los proyectos de la compañía son Maxwell Render (un simulador de luz), XFlow (un simulador de fluidos para ingenieros y científicos) y RealFlow (un simulador de física 3D para la industria audiovisual). Éste último software fue usado en películas como: El Señor de los Anillos: el retorno del Rey, 300 y Robots.

Es el segundo Óscar al mérito técnico que recibe un español. Hasta ahora sólo había obtenido el premio Juan de la Cierva y Hoces (sobrino del inventor del autogiro) en 1969, por el estabilizador óptico Dynalens.[2]
