Anamniota

Anamniota (literalmente desprovisto de amnios) es el nombre que recibe en zoología aquel animal vertebrado cuyo embrión se desarrolla sin membrana que lo envuelva, también denominada amnios. Los vertebrados anamniotas son los peces y los anfibios; el resto de vertebrados, que sí se desarrollan con esta membrana, son amniotas.

La ausencia de amnios se considera la condición ancestral en los vertebrados, de manera que el término no tiene ningún significado taxonómico ni filogenético.
