Long May You Run es el octavo álbum de estudio del músico canadiense Neil Young en colaboración con Stephen Stills y acreditado a The Stills-Young Band, publicado en 1976.

The Stills-Young Band se embarcó en una gira en 1976 para promocionar Long May You Run. Aun así, Neil Young acabaría por abandonar los conciertos cuando se sintió aborrecido por el proyecto, forzando a Stills a completar la gira en solitario junto a la banda habitual de Stephen Stills.

Historia

El álbum deriva de un deseo por parte tanto de Neil Young como de Stephen Stills de completar lo que habían abandonado en su época de experimentación con Buffalo Springfield. Sus compañeros de CSNY, David Crosby y Graham Nash participaron brevemente en el proyecto, lo que convirtió inicialmente a Long May You Run en un álbum del supergrupo. Aun así, Young y Stills decidieron suprimir las voces de Crosby y de Nash de los temas del álbum en su ausencia. Crosby y Nash se sintieron ofendidos cuando vieron el resultado, lo que provocó un distanciamiento entre los cuatro miembros del grupo que acabaría por cerrarse ocho años después, en 1977, con la grabación del trío sin Neil Young.

El tema que da título al álbum, "Long May You Run", supone una elegía del primer coche de Neil Young, un Buick Roadmaster de 1948.
