Seretse Khama Ian Khama (Surrey, Reino Unido, 27 de febrero de 1953) es el presidente de Botsuana desde el 1 de abril de 2008 y es también el jefe de la tribu africana Bamangwato.[1]

Es el hijo mayor de Sir Seretse Khama -hombre que le dio la independencia a Botsuana- y quien fue Presidente de 1966 a 1980. Él nació en Chertsey, Surrey durante el periodo en que su padre estuve exiliado en el Reino Unido debido a su oposición al gobierno colonial y al emergente régimen del apartheid en Suráfrica, contrario al matrimonio inter-racial. Él también es bisnieto de Sekgoma II, rey de la etnía mangwato. Khama es piloto de aviones militares, entrenado en la Academia Real Militar de Sandhurst.[2]

Actualmente ostenta el cargo de Comandante General.
