Gerta Keller

Gerta Keller (* 1945) es una paleontóloga estadounidense que estudia el cráter de Chicxulub como presunta localización del impacto del meteorito que provocó la extinción masiva del Cretácico-Terciario (extinción de los dinosaurios) por la hipótesis de Álvarez. Ella sostiene que ese meteorito no es la causa de la gran extinción.[1] [2] Keller es actualmente profesora de Ciencias de la Tierra, en la universidad de Princeton.

Keller obtuvo el doctorado en paleontología y geología de Stanford en 1978. Ingresó en la universidad de Princeton en 1984 y después de algunos años comenzó a estudiar el límite de K/T, la firma geológica del acontecimiento Cretáceo-Terciario.[3]
