Étienne Jodelle (París, 1532 - julio de 1573) fue un poeta y dramaturgo francés.

La prematura muerte de su padre cuando Jodelle contaba sólo cuatro años obliga a su madre, Marie Drouet, a ocuparse de la educación de sus hijos, tanto Étienne como su hermana. Su tío materno, Étienne de Passavant, que poseía una imnportante colección de libros parece haber sido quién encendiera en el joven Jodelle el gusto por la literatura.

Miembro del grupo de poetas de La Pléyade, que encabezaban Ronsard y Du Bellay trató de aplicar los principios del grupo al arte teatral. Fue el primero que utilizó el alejandrino en la tragedia.
