Druzhina

Una druzhina (en ruso, дружина, druzhina), en la historia de los primeros eslavos orientales, fue una sección de tropas selectas para servicio particular de un caudillo, llamado más tarde knyaz. Sus funciones originales eran las de guardaespaldas, cobro de tributos a los pueblos conquistados y núcleo del ejército durante las campañas bélicas. La organización de la druzhina varió con el tiempo y sobrevivió hasta el siglo XVI.
