Digital Asset Management

Digital Asset Management (DAM) puede traducirse como Gestión de Recursos Digitales. También se le puede nombrar Digital Asset Manager si se habla del encargado de implementación la tecnología.

Ésta permite, tanto en el ámbito personal como en el profesional, el almacenaje de datos digitales de una manera dirigida. En esta tecnología se tiene que incluir, también, procesos de indexación, búsqueda y recuperación de los datos. Tiene el objetivo de facilitar el acceso a diferentes personas desde diferentes ubicaciones. También se le nombra Multimedia Asset Management (MAM) en el momento en el que el sistema controla los datos antes de ser digitalizados.
