Daniel Joseph Boorstin (1 de octubre de 1914 - 28 de febrero de 2004) fue un historiador estadounidense, profesor, abogado y escritor. Sirvió a los Estados Unidos como bibliotecario de la Biblioteca del Congreso desde 1975 a 1987.

Boorstin nace en Atlanta, Georgia, el 1 de octubre de 1914 y fallece en el hospital Sibley Memorial de Washington D.C. en abril de 2004.
