Charles Frederick Worth (13 de octubre de 1825 - 10 de marzo de 1895) fue un diseñador de modas nacido en el Reino Unido. Es considerado el padre de la alta costura. Esta afirmación se debe a que fue pionero a la hora de firmar sus diseños, al igual que hacían artistas de otros campos como la pintura o la literatura.[1] Por otro lado, año tras año creaba una nueva colección,[1] lo cual no se había hecho hasta el momento. Esta es una práctica habitual entre los diseñadores de la actualidad.
