Willie Paszamant Garson nació en Highland Park, Nueva Jersey. Garson asistio al campamento Wekeela en Hartford, Maine cuando era solo un niño de 11 años de edad. Él recibió un grado de teatro de la Universidad de Wesleyan y asistió a la Universidad de Yale Drama School.
