Skeptic (Escéptico) es una revista con publicación trimestral de Ciencias de la educación y la promoción científica publicada a nivel internacional por The Skeptics Society (Sociedad de Escépticos), una organización sin ánimo de lucro dedicada a promover el escepticismo científico y la resistencia a la propagación de la pseudociencia, la superstición, y las creencias irracionales.[2] Fundada por Michael Shermer, fundador de The Skeptics Society,[3] la revista se publicó por primera vez en la primavera de 1992 y se publica a través de la prensa El Milenio.

Shermer sigue siendo el editor y redactor en jefe de la revista y el Co-editor y director de arte es Pat Linse.[4] Otros miembros destacados de su equipo editorial incluyen el biólogo evolutivo de la Universidad de Oxford Richard Dawkins, el ganador del Premio Pulitzer, el científico Jared Diamond, mago y escapista convertido a educador James Randi, y el actor, comediante y alumna Julia Sweeney.

Skeptic tiene una circulación internacional con más de 50.000 suscripciones y está a la venta en EE.UU. y Canadá, así como en Europa, Australia y otros países extranjeros.[1] [5]
