Hoa Lu, la antigua capital de tres dinastías en la historia de Vietnam: la dinastía Đinh, dinastía Lê y la dinastía Ly. Desde esta capital, Dai Viet tuvo éxito en algunas campañas contra China y Champa. En 1010, Ly Cong Uan decidió trasladar la capital de DaiViet a ThangLong (hoy en día, es de Hanoi). Hoy en día, Hoa Lu es uno de los sitios históricos más importantes de Vietnam. Es también uno de los destinos turísticos más populares del país. Hoa Lu está situado en la provincia de Ninh Binh, a unos 120 km al sur de Hanoi, a 10 km de la capital provincial. Hay muchas arquitecturas históricas aquí. Hay muchos templos, pagodas aquí. La pagoda más grande de Vietnam, la pagoda de Bai Dinh está situado en Hoa Lu. Hay también algunas grutas y cuevas en los alrededores.
