HMS Phaeton orPhaëton ha sido el nombre portado por varios buques de la Royal Navy en memoria de Phaëton, el hijo de Helios en la mitología griega:

  • brulote botado en 1691, y utilizado contra la armada francesa en La Hogue en 1692.
  • fragata botada en 1782 que sirvió durante las guerras napoleónicas, causó un incidente en el puerto de Nagasaki, Japón, en 1808.
  • Primera Guerra Mundial.
  • HMS Phaeton, botado en 1934, fue un crucero ligero de Royal Australian Navy donde fue renombrado HMAS Sydney. fue hundido por el crucero auxiliar Segunda Guerra Mundial.
