Yakimono refiere a un tipo de cocina que elabora los productos a la parrilla. Todo aquello que se ase es yakimono, ya que yaki significa cocinar y mono cosa. A esta variedad de cocina pertenecen platos tan representativos de la cocina japonesa como el teppanyaki o el yakitori.
