Vadim Bakatin

Vadim Viktorovich Bakatin (en ruso: Вадим Викторович Бакатин), nacido el 6 de noviembre de 1937, fue ministro del interior de la Unión Soviética de 1988 a 1990. Sucedió a Vladimir Kryuchkov en la jefatura del NKVD. Ocupó el cargo desde agosto de 1991 hasta su disolución en diciembre del mismo año.

Biografía

Nacido la localidad de Kiselyovsk, perteneciente al Óblast de Kemerovo, estudió ingeniería en Novosibirsk, comenzando a trabajar en 1960.

Disolución del KGB

El KGB se disolvió cuando su jefe, el Coronel General Vladimir Kryuchkov[1] utilizó recursos de este organismo para apoyar el intento de golpe contra el Presidente Soviético Mijaíl Gorbachov, en agosto de 1991.

El 23 de agosto de 1991 Kryuchkov fue arrestado, siendo nombrado Jefe del KGB Vadim Bakatin con el mandato expreso de disolverla.
