Turtle Islands

Las Turtle Islands son un municipio filipino que se compone por un grupo de islas remotas de la provincia de Tawi-Tawi. Las islas están situadas a la punta sudoeste del país, al límite del confines tratadales internacionales que separan Filipinas de Malasia.

Según el censo de 2000, las cinco islas permanentemente inhabitados tienen 3600 habitantes en 646 casas. Teniendo un área de tierra de solo 3,08 km², las islas tienen un densidad de población de 1168 personas por km², mucho mejor que el promedio nacional de 276 personas por km².

Acceso a las Turtle Islands es difícil, porque no hay vías regulares de transportación a la área.

Las Turtle Islands se divide politicamente a 2 barangayes: Población Taganak y Likud Bakkao.
