Thomas Archer

Thomas Archer (Tanworth-en-Arden, Warwickshire, 1668 - 1743) fue un arquitecto de estilo barroco inglés, cuyo trabajo quedó algo eclipsado por los de sus contemporáneos Sir John Vanbrugh y Nicholas Hawksmoor.

Archer estudió en la Universidad de Oxford. Amante de los viajes, fue influenciado por los trabajos de Bernini y de Borromini. Entre sus iglesias caben destacar las de St. John's, Smith Square en Westminster, dañada gravemente en la Segunda Guerra Mundial, St Paul's, Deptford y St Philip, Birmingham; ahora catedral de Birmingham. Entre sus trabajos seculares se incluyen la Roehampton House en Surrey y la Cascade House.
