Argumento

Ned Merrill (Burt Lancaster) es un maduro y vital ejecutivo de publicidad que cumple una extraña y algo inquietante tradición. Vistiendo solo un pantalón de baño emprende camino a casa a través del condado, nadando en las piscinas de sus amigos.

Comentarios

Burt Lancaster contaba con cincuenta y dos años en el momento de protagonizar una película absorbente y nostálgica, y aunque no es el caso, la película parece creada a su medida. Muestra no solamente un ácido comentario social sobre el denominado "sueño americano" también es un excelente retrato de los principales miedos del ser humano, el final de la juventud, el transcurrir de los años.
