The Decline

The Decline es un EP de la banda de música punk llamada NOFX. Grabada en 1999, consistente en una sola canción de 18 minutos de duración. Los temas incluyen verjas contra la obediencia ciega y apatía, destrucción de los derechos constitucionales, y condenación de la libertad de religión. Aunque las letras están de alguna forma inconexas, todas hacen referencia al unificante tema del "ocaso" (dicho decline en inglés) de Estados Unidos. NOFX a menudo cierra sus espectáculos con los últimos 4 minutos de la canción, cantando a voz en grito las líneas:

And so we go (y así vamos)
on with our lives (continuando con nuestras vidas)
We know the truth (sabemos la verdad)
But prefer Lies (pero preferimos las mentiras)
Lies are simple (las mentiras son simples)
Simple is Bliss (la simpleza es la felicidad)
Why go against tradition when we can (por qué ir contra la tradición cuando podemos)
Admit defeat? (admitir la derrota)
Live in Decline (vivir en el ocaso)

Antes de sumergirse en el igualmente memorable final, caracterizando un único riff de trompeta que se repite durante toda la canción.
