Shaktipat es una palabra en Sánscrito y significa "Toque de Energía". Se refiere a una forma de iniciación espiritual, mediante la cuál, según sus practicantes, la Energía Espiritual o kundalinī es despertada del Chakra Muladara. Uno de los más populares exponenentes de esta técnica fue Swami Nityananda y sus sucesores: Swami Muktananda , Swami Chidvilasananda (Gurumayi) y [[Mahamandaleshwar Swami Nityananda]]
