El cine de los '70

Scarecrow es una de las obras representativas de un período en el que la extrema violencia y el pesimismo se hicieron presentes en las mejores películas. Cineastas como Dennis Hopper, Mike Nichols, Sam Peckinpah, Arthur Penn y Bob Rafelson pusieron a la violencia por la violencia misma y los finales abiertos como una nueva forma de concebir el cine.
