La Sam440ep (también conocida como Sam o Samanta) es una Serie de placa base con CPU PowerPC compatible con AmigaOS 4 creada por la empresa italiana ACube Systems Srl. Lanzada en 2007 sigue en producción en la actualidad (octubre 2009).

Se comecializan las siguientes versiones:

Sam440ep

Sam440ep-Flex

  • Formato FlexATX (21.6*17 cm)
  • 3 slots PCI (2 de ellos a 33 MHZ, el otro a 66MHz)
  • 1GB RAM
  • Sin gráfica integrada, se debe instalar tarjeta gráfica PCI, opcionalmente se comercializa con una ATI Radeon 9250

Ambas versiones se comercializan o bien como placa+CPU o bien en un pack completo que incluye carcasa, disco duro y grabadora de DVD.

Sistemas operativos soportados

  • AmigaOS 4.1, soportado desde octubre de 2008, es el único equipo actualmente en fabricación con soporte oficial de dicho sistema operativo.
  • Linux PPC, incluyendo las distribuciones: Debian, Fedora, Ubuntu y CRUX PPC.
  • FreeBSD
