Salvador Fidalgo fue un marino español nacido en la Seo de Urgel (provincia de Lérida) en 1756 y fallecido en Tacubaya, México, en 1803. Destaca su labor como explorador de las costas de Alaska y del Pacífico canadiense.

En 1790 fue enviado por el virrey de Nueva España a San Lorenzo de Nutka, ante la presencia en la zona de naves rusas y británicas.
